The new facility for Arts Center/Old Forge will be unlike any
arts facility in the Northeast!

The new 28,000 square foot Old Forge Arts Center will not only provide a wide and
exciting range of arts resources for children and adults, but it will also:
• Attract 45,000 visitors to the area.
• Serve as an economic development engine for upstate New York.
• Offer artistic, theatrical, educational, and ecological programming.
• Operate as a completely ecologically friendly ‘green-built’ and ‘green-operating’ building.

We have been offered this marvelous opportunity to honor Miriam Kashiwa, the founder and Director Emeriti of Kinderwood, our preschool teacher, and the preschool teacher of our children. The Kashiwa Family has come together to help raise the funds needed to name the new Kinderwood Suite the, “Miriam Davis Kashiwa Kinderwood Suite".The siblings have pledged to donate 20% of every monetary gift earmarked for the naming right up to $400,000.
