Intro to Pottery 

Session III. Tuesdays, Aug. 19 - Sept. 23 

All Sessions Meet from 6 - 9pm 

Instructor: Megan Crimmins 

Fee: $115/$90 each session 

Materials: $35 

Suitable for High School Students and Adults. 

In each 6 week session, students will work at their own pace to explore and experiment with a variety of ceramic techniques from hand built to wheel thrown. All works will be glazed and fired. Class size is limited to 7 students. 

 

 

 

 


Paint on Pottery 

Wednesdays, June 30 - August 25 

10am - noon 

Fee: Ranges from $5 - $18 

Choose from a mug, vase, flowerpot, pet dish, pie plate, sushi plate, piggy bank, and more. Our friendly staff is happy to assist you with hints, tips and techniques, and we have plenty of idea books, images, and stencils to help you find a direction. When you’re finished, leave it with us, your finished masterpiece will be ready to pick up within 5 days. All materials used are nontoxic, dishwasher, microwave, and oven safe. 

 

 

 


Children’s Pottery - Handbuilding 

Session II: July 26 - July 29 

& August 3 & 5 

Session III: Aug. 9 - 12 

& August 17 & 19 

Fee: $100/$90 members 

Ages 6 - 9 

All sessions run from 1 - 2:30pm 

Children will learn the basics of handbuilding while they express and execute their personal visions in clay. Clay’s three dimensional nature encourages children to think about structures, shapes and forms. Students will experiment with a variety of building techniques. All works will be glazed and fired for permanence. Students are asked to wear clothes that can get messy or bring an old shirt or smock to class. Limited to 8 students.    

 

Pre-Teen & Teen - Wheel Thrown Pottery 

Session II: July 26 - July 29 & August 3 & 5, 

Session III: Aug. 9 - Aug. 12 & August 17 & 19 

All sessions run from 3 - 5pm 

Fee: $100/$90 members 

Ages 10 and above. 

Students will meet for 6 classes and work at their own pace to explore their creativity and work toward project completion. All works will be glazed and fired for permanence. Students are asked to wear clothes that can get messy or bring an old shirt or smock to class. This class is limited to 7 students to insure personal attention to participants. 

 

 

 

Beginners Pottery Classes 

Thursdays, July 22 - August 26, 9am - noon (6 classes) 

Instructor: Linda Erion 

Fee: $115/$90 members 

Materials: $35 

Suitable for High School Students and Adults. 

Beginning wheel thrown pottery and mid-level skills will be taught in this 6 class workshop. Instruction will cover wheel throwing, handbuilding, and glazing techniques. Students will learn to make functional wheel thrown and hand built pieces, such as bowls and mugs. Basic skills and individual attention will be given to student’s specific needs, with concentration on utilitarian and functional wheel thrown pieces. 

Maximum 7 students. 

 

 

 

Advanced Pottery Workshop - 

Studies in Ceramic Surface Design & Decoration 

Mondays and Thursdays, August 30 – September 23, 9am - noon (8 classes) 

Instructor: Kelly Barone 

Fee: $145/$120 members 

Materials: Fees based on projects 

Participants will create a pro-active plan of surface design and decorative techniques including modeling, impressing, texturing, and a wide variety of additive or subtractive methods. Additional overglaze firing effects such as enamels and lusters, will be explored. Suitable for Intermediate to Advanced handbuilders and wheel throwers.
